PUBLIC WORKS WEEK

National Public Works Week

National Public Works Week runs from May 21-May 27 and is a celebration of the efforts involved in growing and maintaining Davis’s infrastructure.

This year’s theme is “Public Works Connects Us”. From roads to bike paths; water and sewer lines to drainage channels; street lights to street signs, Public Works is visibly present throughout Davis and in our day-to-day lives.

Below are some fun activities you can participate in as part of our celebration. Also, be sure to stop by City Hall during Public Works Week to view our engaging display and learn more about the divisions and employees who support our great city!

PW Art Page

Children are invited to show off their art skills by designing a page for how they think “Public Works Connects Us!” Submissions can be turned in at the PW Corp Yard at 1717 Fifth Street or the PW Counter at City Hall at 23 Russell Boulevard by May 17. Artwork will be displayed at City Hall from May 21 to May 27 during Public Works Week. All submissions must include the signed waiver on the back to be eligible for display.
