Community Invited to Anderson Road Improvements Workshop on January 17
The City of Davis Public Works Department invites the community to participate in the final community workshop on January 17, 2018 for the Anderson Road Improvements project. The City is conducting a planning and outreach phase with consulting firm Alta Planning + Design to develop a streetscape master plan for complete streets improvements on Anderson Road between Russell Blvd and Covell Blvd.
At this workshop, staff will review community feedback on challenges, needs, and preferences from the first workshop and input received on three design concepts from the second. These shaped the development of a preferred alternative that incorporates elements from the design concepts into a draft preferred streetscape improvement plan.
The workshop will include:
- Summary of Workshop #1 (existing conditions) and Workshop #2 (three concept designs)
- Presentation of the initial preferred design concept that incorporates feedback from Workshop #2
- Open discussion on the merits and challenges for the preferred design concept
The workshop will be held between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Redwood Building in Redwood Park, located at 1001 Anderson Road, immediately south of Cesar Chavez Elementary School. Child care with activities will be provided.
