Cannery Park Project

Application Update

On September 7, 2010 ConAgra submitted a land use application to the City for consideration of the Cannery Park project. Lewis Planned Communities was the previous applicant for this project proposal. However, on March 16, 2009, just prior to embarking on the EIR preparation for the Cannery park application, Lewis Planned Communities withdrew their application. The property owner, ConAgra, now wishes to reinitiate an application for development of the Cannery Park project.

ConAgra is proposing a project that picks up where Lewis Planned Communities left off. In short, the proposal remains a mixed-use project of just under 100 acres, consisting of the following land uses:

Low Density Residential 7.2 Acres 62 Units
Medium Density Residential 25.2 Acres 288 Units
High Density Residential 9.5 Acres 200 Units
Land Dedication 4.0 Acres 60 Units
Business Park/Office 20.0 Acres
Park/Open Space 19.3 Acres
Major Roadways 13.2 Acres

Please see the application documents for a detailed project description and site plan. Entitlements being sought at this time include: General Plan Amendment, Rezoning to a Preliminary Planned Development, Environmental Review (EIR), Tentative Map, and Development Agreement.
