Notice of Plan Availability & City Council Meeting

Downtown – Campus Connections Concepts and Implementation Plan

The “Downtown – Campus Connection Concepts and Implementation Plan” has been completed by the City of Davis and UC Davis with assistance from the consultant team of Winzler &  Kelly and Wallace Roberts & Todd. The plan presents recommended concepts to improve connections between Downtown Davis and several campus arts and entertainment venues, including pedestrian and bicycle improvements, shuttle options and gateways ideas.  The plan concepts were developed in consultation with the Davis Downtown Business Association, local community input, city of Davis and UC Davis staff.

City Council meeting

On May 2, 2006, the City Council is expected to review the concepts plan.  The Council will consider adopting a resolution directing city staff to work collaboratively with UC Davis to identify specific projects to further design, fund and implement.
