2002 Housing Element of the General Plan

The Housing Element is one of the seven mandatory elements in a community’s General Plan. Its purpose is to identify existing and proposed housing needs and provide mechanisms to meet them. State law requires update of housing elements of local agencies every five years. The planning period for this update is June 30, 2002 through June 30, 2008. The City Council adopted the Housing Element on July 20, 2004. For questions, contact Ike Njoku or by phone (530) 757-5610.
