Cool Davis Initiative: August 2010 Newsletter
What is the Cool Davis Initiative?
The Cool Davis Initiative (CDI) is an active new coalition of residents, community organizations and the City of Davis working together to inspire and empower our community to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while having fun. Our goal is to engage 75% of the community in pursuing a low carbon lifestyle within 5 years. In keeping with the City's ambitious goal to become a carbon neutral community by mid-century, the Davis City Council recently adopted the region's first action plan to reduce local greenhouse gas emissions. The Davis Climate Action and Adaptation Plan focuses on actions the community can take in the next 5 years that will put Davis on the path to meet its 2050 goal.
