City to Hold Neighborhood Traffic Calming Workshops

The City of Davis is sponsoring traffic calming discussions for the residential neighborhoods adjacent to the Fifth Street corridor. The City’s consultants, KD Anderson and Alta Planning + Design, will be here on Saturday, February 11, 2012 to meet with neighbors and identify potential solutions to neighborhood traffic problems. The consultants will meet with residents, walk through the neighborhoods to view specific areas of concern, then work together to explore possibilities for improvements.
The meetings are scheduled as follows:
- Old East Davis: 8:30-10:30 am, beginning in the common room at the Cornucopia Co-op (3rd and J Streets).
- Old North Davis: 11:00 am -1:00 pm, beginning at the Senior Center multipurpose room.
- A Street, Civic Center, University Avenue: 2:00-4:00 pm, beginning at the Senior Center multipurpose room.
