City Council Vacancy Appointment

On January 3, 2011, the City Council seat occupied by Don Saylor became vacant when he was sworn in as a member of the Yolo County Board of Supervisors. The City of Davis City Council has chosen to fill this vacany by conducting an appointment process. A process to solicit applications from eligible members of the community and for the public to provide input on those who applied was established.

Council Fills Vacancy

At a special meeting on Tuesday February 22, 2011, the City Council appointed Dan Wolk to fill the vacant Council seat. Wolk will be officially sworn in at the Council meeting on Tuesday March 1.
