What should be reviewed in the Environmental Impact Report?

• Proposed issues to be analyzed are included in Notice of Participation
• Scoping meeting June 30, 5-7 pm, Wildhorse Golf Course clubhouse

The meeting will have an open house format, with opportunity for written or oral comment throughout meeting PARTICIPATE SOON!

• Written comment to Notice of Participation - Send to Katherine Hess. Community Development Administrator by July 16, 2004 PARTICIPATE NOW!

Is the environmental analysis adequate?

• Draft Environmental Impact Report anticipated fall 2004; will be posted on website and available at city offices, library, and copy shops
• 45-day public comment period for Draft EIR
• Public hearing to be scheduled within comment period
• Written comments may be made on Draft EIR; we are working to take internet comments as well. PARTICIPATION OPPORTUNITY

How should environmental impacts be mitigated if the project is approved?

• Draft EIR will include proposed mitigation measures to reduce or eliminate the negative environmental impacts of the project.
• Final Environmental Impact Report provides responses to all comments made on adequacy of Draft EIR.

Is the project one that should be approved? If so, with what conditions?

• Policy question and comment sheet available at EIR scoping meeting PARTICIPATE SOON!
• Coming soon: Electronic form on web page for community input. We hope to have discussion forums or input forms on various specific topics throughout the process PARTICIPATION OPPORTUNITY
• Joint Planning Commission / City Council workshop on project applications in late July. To be televised, archived on web page, and re-broadcast on the City Government Channel.
• Community meeting to identify key policy issues for discussion at Commissions and Council PARTICIPATION OPPORTUNITY
• Commission workshops on identified policy issues in September and October PARTICIPATION OPPORTUNITY
• Letters to Planning Commission and City Council PARTICIPATION OPPORTUNITY
