Pool Closure Policy

The City will close a pool complex if any of the following conditions exist:

  • Thunder and/or lightning.
  • Mechanical failure or environmental hazard.
  • The Recreation Swim program will be cancelled for the day if, before the pool complex is scheduled to open, there is inclement weather such as rain and/or a temperature below 70 degrees.
  • If the pool complex is open for Recreation Swim, inclement weather occurs, and the patronage drops below 15, one or all of the pools may be closed.

If you have any questions regarding the pool schedule or fees, call the Community Services Department at (530) 757-5626 during normal business hours, or call the pool directly. City pool facility addresses and their telephone numbers are listed on the Aquatics Program home page.
