CDBG & HOME Grant Programs
The City of Davis is an entitlement city participating in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Nearly $23 million has been awarded to the City through the CDBG program. In addition, the City of Davis is also an entitlement city participating in the HUD HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program. Over $9 million has been awarded to the City through the HOME program.
These grant funds have assisted very-low, low and moderate-income persons/households by providing much needed services, housing and facilities. All requests for funding of social service programs are reviewed by City staff, the Social Services Commission, and finally City Council during the City's annual "Proposal Review" cycle.
This website provides the documents and information necessary for service providers in the Davis community to apply for CDBG and HOME funds.
An Applicant Workshop will be held to provide an opportunity for all potential applicants to ask questions about the overall CDBG program, evaluation criteria, proposal process, etc. The workshop will be held:

Consolidated Plan
The City of Davis has submitted a Consolidated Plan and First Year Action Plan to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As a requirement of the federally-funded for the Community Development Block Grant program and the Home Investment Partnership Program, city staff has prepared and submitted the Consolidated Plan, which is a five-year strategic plan covering the time period from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2015. The Consolidated Plan identifies the City’s overall housing and community development needs for low- and moderate-income persons and provides strategies to address those needs by offering programs and projects with specific goals. The First Year Action Plan describes activities and expected outcomes of those activities funded in program year 2010-2011 and is contained within the body of the Consolidated Plan. Subsequent annual Action Plans are listed below and made available for a minimum 30-day period prior to submittal to HUD by the due date of May 15 every year.
