CalWORKs Child Care Subsidy Program
The CalWORKs Child Care Subsidy Program provides subsidies to parents participating in the Yolo County Department of Employment and Social Services CalWORKs Welfare to Work Program. Parents who have been on cash aid in the last two years are also eligible to apply for this program. Admission is based on income and need for care.
Child care is provided in the licensed or legally exempt child care provider or child care center of the parent's choice. All child care providers must meet certain standards to be funded by the subsidy program. Children ages birth to 12 years may receive a child care subsidy.
