Where to find Child Care
Child Care Services Resource & Referral offers parents in Yolo County referrals to licensed child care providers for FREE. Choosing a child care setting for your child and family can be difficult; it is important to be informed when you make this decision. Our R&R staff can provide many wonderful resources that can assist you in your selection of care.
Referrals, not recommendations, are made to licensed family child care programs, preschools, child care centers, and playgroups. Information and videos on choosing child care, as well as technical assistance on how to start up and operate a child care center or family child care program are also available. Services are jointly funded by the California Department of Education, UC Davis, First 5-Yolo, and the City of Davis.
How to get a child care referral:
Call our office to speak with a Resource & Referral Counselor during our normal business hours; they will be able to provide you a listing of providers as well as useful information to consider when selecting care. You can call us at (530) 757-5695.
TrustLine Registry:
TrustLine is the California registry of in-home child care providers who have passed a background screening. All caregivers listed with TrustLine have been cleared through a fingerprint check of records at the California Department of Justice. For more information: www.trustline.org or (800) 822-8490.
