Caregivers / Baby Sitters
Child Care Services Resource & Referral offers a variety of resources and services to new providers as they enter the field of early care & education and begin their child care business. We also provide ongoing assistance and support to existing child care professionals to enhance the quality of care for children of Yolo County. Our services and resources are designed to assist all child care professionals in achieving quality programs.
Informal child care providers or license exempt providers provide care for no more than one family's child or children in addition to their own at any time. These are grandparents, friends, neighbors or baby sitters and they are not licensed. Informal child care may be an alternative for families with non traditional work schedules.
Programs offered for Informal Child Care providers include:
Play Day Program: A FREE school readiness program that is designed to introduce informal child care providers and the children they care for to a preschool setting and developmentally appropriate practices. The program is offered on a monthly basis throughout the County. If you are interested in dates and locations, call our office and ask for the Child Care Specialist.
