Toy Library Policies
Children must be directly supervised by an adult at all times while in the toy library. Thank you for your cooperation!
- A maximum of three (3) items may be checked out for a three-week period. A three-week extension may be requested on or before the due date, and all toys must be returned at the end of the extension period.
- Please return the toys to the Toy Library staff person. All toys must be returned during Toy Library hours. Please do not drop off toys in the Book Drop.
- Please return all items on time, clean, with all pieces, and in good repair.
- Replacement Policy:
We anticipate that there will be a certain amount of wear and tear (determined by Staff) on any item. However, if an item is returned that is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, the following action will be taken:- If the item was purchased less than one year ago we will request full replacement costs or replacement of the exact same toy.
- If the item was purchased over one year ago or if it had been donated, we will require that you donate a toy of similar nature.
- If the item damaged was the toy’s container, we will ask for the replacement of a similar container, or the full replacement cost for a new container.
- Outstanding Items:
- If, upon return of items, some items remain outstanding past the due date, that item will count towards the maximum checked out items.
- If, upon return of items, some items are not returned complete with all pieces then that item will count towards the maximum checked out items.
- If a bill has been sent as a result of a late return of items, you will be prohibited from utilizing the Toy Library until the items are returned or paid for.
Thank you for your help in maintaining the quality and quantity of items in the toy library.
