Enjoy The Fourth Of July Celebration Each Year? We Need Your Help!
Each year the City of Davis has been proud to provide the community with a wonderful Fourth of July celebration, complete with live entertainment including local bands, sky divers, a softball tournament, free recreational swim, concession/information booths and a spectacular fireworks display. The Fourth of July celebration is a free community event enjoyed by well over 10,000 participants each year.
Unfortunately, due to a limited budget and the rising costs to run the event, we are asking for your support. Over the last few years fireworks insurance costs have increased significantly. Our goal is to have the Fourth of July fireworks show continue to be a 20-minute length demonstration and to keep this very worth while day long event alive. We are seeking your help in providing donations that will go exclusively towards running the Fourth of July event.
if you are interested in donating to the fireworks display, please make your donation at the Community Services Department, 600 A Street, Suite C, or if you are registering for any of our classes or programs, donations are also being accepted through our registration form in the Recreation Schedule. Thank you and we hope to see you at Community Park on the Fourth of July.
Fourth of July Concessionaires Wanted
Each year, thousands of people gather at Community Park for the City of Davis’ Fourth of July celebration. Numerous activities are available for all age groups to participate in throughout the day, rekindling a sense of community, and capped-off by a fantastic fi reworks display. In the past years, community organizations have set up concession stands that offer everything from food specialties to free information. This event is a great opportunity for a group to raise awareness of its activities and services, as well as earn a little money.
