Teen Services Grant Program
The City of Davis is pleased to announce its newly created Teen Services Grant Program. The Teen Services Grant Program allocates funding to a wide variety of programs and services that promote, support, and assist local community organizations in providing creative opportunities for teens to receive mentorship and leadership skills that are founded upon the framework of the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets for youth 12 to 18 years of age.
The deadline for application submissions is Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
Organizations must meet funding eligibility criteria and follow funding guidelines:
- Be a Yolo County based 501 (c) (3) organization in good standing in the state of California.
- Be in operation for a minimum of three years at the time an application for funding is submitted.
- Demonstrate that a minimum of 75% of the organization’s target market (i.e. participants, members) are Davis residents between the ages of 12-18 years.
- Demonstrate that the applying organization fosters opportunities for teens to hold responsible leadership positions within the organization.
- Demonstrate financial hardship by providing copies of annual operating budget and their most recent IRS 990 reporting form.
