Elderly Nutrition Program
Monday - Friday, 11:30 a.m.

The Elderly Nutrition Program (ENP), in partnership with the Davis Senior Center, provides both an on-site meal in our Friendship Café, as well as the Meals on Wheels (MOW) delivery service to homebound adults in the community. Our shared goal is to assist in maintaining the independence of older adults through improved nutrition and social interaction by serving nutritious meals that provide 1/3 of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for healthy adults over 60 years of age. Monthly menus are planned with your health in mind and include good sources of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, fiber, and are low in fat and salt. Menus are available at the Davis Senior Center, or can be found in the Senior Scene newsletter. Special events and nutrition education lectures are also periodically planned throughout the year.

Preparing Meals

For meal reservations, please call (530) 757-5541 no later than noon prior to the day you are planning to attend. For meal cancellations, please call at least 24 hours in advance, when possible. This enables the program staff to provide the meal to an alternate diner, and prevents excessive food waste. Suggested donation is $3.00 for adults, 60 years and over, and $7.00 for guests under age 60, unless accompanied by a senior spouse. For more information about the Elderly Nutrition Program or to sign up for MOW delivery service, please call the Davis ENP Site Manager at (530) 757-5541, or the main ENP Administrative Office located in Woodland at (530) 662-7035.
