Registration Information

In addition to team fees, each non-resident player will be charged an additional fee: $6 for school district non-residents, and $13 for all other, with a maximum of $50.00 per team. Team managers and non-resident players who violate this policy will be suspended from participating in the Davis softball program for one year. All teams are required to join the Amateur Softball Association ($20 per team). League structure and fees are subject to change. There are no refunds on adult sports leagues.

Priority registration for continuing teams will be taken at our office on the dates indicated in the registration chart below. Teams which meet the following three prerequisites may register for the same corresponding level of play that they participated in during the previous season:

  1. Must have participated in the previous softball season (Fall season for Spring play); and
  2. Must include either a) have at least seven players from the previous season’s team if total roster was 13 players or less, or b) have at least 51% of players if total roster was 14 or more; and
  3. Must be able to list players who will play (to compare to the previous season’s roster on file) to verify that the above requirements are met. A complete roster with all player signatures must be on file or turned in by the first game.

Registration for all new or non-continuing teams that wish to participate in spring softball will be taken at the Community Services office in City Hall, at 23 Russell Boulevard (corner of Russell Blvd. & B St.). General Softball League Rules

Teams are scheduled by the numbers before their name. Visiting team is the team listed in the left hand column. No new inning will begin 55 minutes past the start of the game. The only exception to this is in the event of a tie, in which case the local tie-breaker will be used until the game is decided.

There will be no consumption of alcoholic beverages of smoking by any player during their game.

All rained out or otherwise cancelled games will be made up after the last regularly scheduled game. They will be made up on the regular league night in the order in which the games were missed and at the prescheduled times unless you are notified otherwise by the League Coordinator.
