Softball League Information

Summer Softball, a nine game season, tentatively begins on Monday June 18, 2012.
All teams play in the evenings.

Fees are $510 for Men's League teams and $471 for Women's and Coed League teams. All teams that did not participate in the 2012 Spring League must also pay the $20 ASA registration. Teams must also pay additional fees for any/all non-Davis resident players.

Priority registration for returning teams who played in the 2012 Spring League is Monday & Tuesday May 14 & 15. Open registration for new teams begins on Thursday May 17. Registration ends Friday May 25 or earlier if leagues fill. Any teams wanting to sign up after May 25 must get the approval of the League Coordinator and is subject to a $25 late fee.

Men's Leagues use two umpires each game; Women and Coed Leagues use one. League Coordinators have the authority to place teams in appropriate leagues to encourage fair play.

General Softball League Rules

Teams are scheduled by the numbers before their name. Visiting team is the team listed in the left hand column. No new inning will begin 55 minutes past the start of the game. The only exception to this is in the event of a tie, in which case the local tie-breaker will be used until the game is decided.

There will be no consumption of alcoholic beverages of smoking by any player during their game.

All rained out or otherwise cancelled games will be made up after the last regularly scheduled game. They will be made up on the regular league night in the order in which the games were missed and at the prescheduled times unless you are notified otherwise by the League Coordinator.
