Teen Photo Contest - "Through the Lens of a Teen"
2009 City of Davis Teen Photography Contest
Welcome to the 4th Annual Teen Photography Contest! This is a chance for Davis teens to show off their best art to the rest of the community. This year the prizes include a month-long exhibit at a venue in downtown Davis, and free studio time with local photographer Ray Johnston!
The contest runs from Monday October 5 through Wednesday November 20, 2009. Photos must be taken within Davis during the time period of the contest. There are two categories: Color and Black & White.
The top 3 winning photographs from each category will be displayed at Ciocolat from January 8 to February 12, 2010. Winners will have great exposure, since their art will be displayed during one of the “ArtAbout Walks” in Downtown Davis during that time period. The first place participant will also win free studio time at Ray Johnston Photography.
The deadline to submit photos is Friday November 20, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Turn in entries to the Community Services Department at City Hall (23 Russell Blvd, Suite 5). Submissions must include an entry form, a matted hard copy (no larger than 11 x 14), and a copy of the photo in digital media format, such as a CD or DVD.
