Business Workshop Series - ADA for Businesses: 101


On June 8, 2011, the City of Davis offered a workshop, ADA for Businesses: 101. The workshop was intended to give business owners an overview of basic Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.

The workshop was presented by Mark Wood, City of Davis Chief Building Official. Mark is also co-owner and principle with California Certified Accessibility Specialists. Mark is certified by the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) as a Building Official, Mechanical Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, Electrical Inspector, and Building Inspector. Mark is currently an accessibility instructor for the California Association of Building Officials (CALBO), Sacramento Valley Association of Building Officials (SVABO), University of California Davis, and the American Institute of Architects Central Valley (AIA). Mark is a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) by the California Division of State Architect (DSA) and holds various certifications from a variety of organizations such as ICC, IAMPO, NFPA, and the State of California.
