Open Space Program
The City of Davis Open Space program implements long-standing community goals related to the protection of natural and biological resources.
Although still evolving, the City of Davis Open Space Program includes planning, land acquisition, site development and management activities. An Open Space Commission serves as the focal point that helps unify all of the various projects and programs spread across the Parks & General Services, Community Development and Public Works Departments.
Program activities include:
- Natural Resource Planning
- Farmland Protection
- Wildlife Habitat Protection and Restoration
- Open Space Management
- Providing natural resource-based recreational and educational opportunities
