MEETING NOTIFICATION:
Proposed Renaming of Northstar Park or Ponds to “Julie Partansky Park” or Ponds) and “Julie’s Garden” Proposal

The Recreation and Park Commission will consider approving a proposal to rename Northstar Park and/or ponds and a proposal to renovate a picnic area to honor former Mayor Julie Partansky. The renovation of the existing picnic area is at the entrance of the large observation deck overlooking the North Area Drainage Pond. The proposed project, funded by private donations, includes removing the fence surrounding the table, installing wooden bench seating surrounding the table, a new concrete pad with decorative mosaic tiles under the table and adding plants in a new bedding area to be maintained by volunteers.
The general public is invited to attend the meeting and provide feedback to the Commission. The meeting will be held:
