K-9 Birko
Dates of Service: August 2003-November 2005
Birko was brought to the Davis Police Department by Officer Glenn Glasgow in December of 2005. Birko quickly became a favorite of the officers on his shift and did some outstanding work for the citizens of Davis. Birko was trained in patrol, narcotics detection and tracking. Birko was an extremely talented dog who's high level of success is credited with bringing a canine unit back to the Davis Police Department. Birko retired in November of 2005. Sadly, Birko passed on in January of 2010.

K-9 Lupo
Dates of Service: December 2005-June 2007
Lupo was purchased by the Davis Police Department in December of 2005 to fill Birko's vacancy when he retired. Lupo was partnered with Officer Trn and the two worked together for about a year and a half. Lupo was trained in patrol and narcotics detection. Lupo was forced to retire early due to a minor medical issue in June of 2007.
