We had a good neighborhood meeting last Sunday. One of the discussion points was meandering sidewalk at the commercial center along with a decorative fence channelizing the pedestrian traffic into the center. Gathering place was also mentioned. Here is a preliminary design to incorporate these issues, look in the "Attachments" section for the "Meandering Walk", besure to zoom in to see the detail. The current project is a portion of an overall corridor makeover and funded mostly by a grant. This project is in preliminary design, some public input has been taken into account and more will be solicited.
