     Proper Chemical Pesticide Disposal

When you have finished using a chemical pesticide clean up properly so that pesticides stay out of the stormdrains and waterways. Follow label instructions.

Pesticides will remain in the bottom of your applicator when you Þnish spraying, even when you do a great job of estimating the quantity. Dilute these residues with clean water and re-spray in your garden until the solution is used up. Then dilute again and respray or broadcast on the ground. Be sure that this spray won't drain to the street or gutter. Never rinse containers into the gutter (storm drain system) or household drains (sewer system).

Take unwanted pesticides or pesticide containers to a Yolo County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event. Please call (530) 757-5564 for more information and a schedule. Never throw pesticides or pesticide containers into the garbage.
