The 18th Annual Environmental Recognition Award
The City of Davis is accepting nominations for the eighteenth annual Environmental Recognition Award. This award recognizes outstanding efforts to improve the environmental quality of life in and around Davis. There are three awards categories: Individual/Group, Business, and Non-Profit Organizations.
Last year’s award recipients were: Judy Moores/Lynne Nittler in the Individual/Group Category; Holmes Junior High Green Team in the Non-Profit Category; and Waste Busters in the Business Category.
The nomination period runs from January 02 to February 10, 2012. Award recipients will be selected at the February Natural Resources Commission meeting. The City Council will present awards to the 2012 recipients in April.
A nomination flyer can be obtained on the City website, at City Hall, the Public Works Department, or by calling Dani Hester at 530-757-5686. Nominations are due by Friday, February 10, 2012. (Paper nominations will not be accepted.)
