What if I can’t transport my bulky items to the drop-off site?
We encourage you to carpool with friends and neighbors who have a vehicle which will allow you to transport your bulky items to the drop-off site. Individuals who currently subscribe to handicapped trash service can call Davis Waste Removal at 756-4646 for a special pickup appointment. As always, Davis Waste Removal offers special pickup service for a fee to residents who wish to dispose of a large bulky item.
What if I want to dispose of my item before or after the drop-off days?
If you are unable to participate, you have several options to dispose of bulky items. Reusable items can be donated to a local thrift store or charity or can be given away by advertising it in the free section of the Davis Enterprise classifieds. You can also take the materials yourself to the Yolo County Central Landfill. The landfill charges vary. See http://www.yolocounty.org/index.aspx?page=443 for the landfill fee schedule. Household Hazardous Waste is not accepted at this event.
