Erin Donley-Marineau, Ph.D., M.P.A. Tree Davis Executive Director
I am honored and excited to be leading the team at Tree Davis! I have a diverse professional background ranging from state and private forest advocacy, state and federal agency evaluation of restoration effectiveness in the Columbia River estuary, and academic research supporting adaptive management efforts that maximize biodiversity in human-dominated landscapes. In my free time you can find me outside with my family enjoying forests and watersheds near and far.
Rhys Rowland, M.A. City of Davis Environmental Program Specialist
I am an urban planner academically with a BS in Environmental Studies from SJSU. I have a MA in Urban and Regional Planning from SJSU. I have worked in urban planning for the County of Santa Clara, the Cities of Morgan Hill, Cupertino, and Davis collectively for 12 years. I worked for the City of San Jose as a Park Planner for 2 years. I have worked in Stormwater Quality since 2008 for the City of Davis. I work part time as a white raft guide in the warm months, and like to ride bicycles, snowboard and ski for fun. I look forward to sharing how the current City of Davis’ Stormwater Quality program functions and some recent program accomplishments.
Kevin Robert Perry, Urban Rain|Design
Kevin Robert Perry is a landscape architect and nationally recognized leader in successfully integrating stormwater management with high-quality urban design. For nearly two decades, Kevin has worked on over 60 green infrastructure projects throughout North America. He has received multiple national and regional awards for his work in green infrastructure and was elevated as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 2017. In 2012, Kevin launched his landscape architecture office Urban Rain|Design which aims to provide comprehensive green infrastructure visioning, planning, and design strategies to communities across the United States.
Dorothy Abeyta, Davey Resource Group
Dorothy Abeyta is a Project Developer for the Davey Resource Group specializing in urban forestry, urban stormwater facilities, and environmental resources. Dorothy served as the landscape manager for the City of San José Special Assessment Districts for over 15 years and has vast knowledge of municipal and commercial landscape management, landscape renovation and conversion techniques for environmental stewardship. Dorothy spent the early part of her career as an independent landscape consultant, writer, speaker and consulting arborist. Drawing on over 30 years of experience in the fields of arboriculture, stormwater and landscape management, plant pathology and soil science, Dorothy brings a broad perspective to the field of landscape management and urban and community forestry. Dorothy served on the Board of Directors of the California Urban Forest Council as the Government liaison for nine years and president for two years. She is a graduate of the 2007 class of the Municipal Forestry Institute and holds a Master’s degree in plant pathology. As a former ASCA Board member Dorothy spearheaded and wrote the original Guide to Report Writing and established the report writing course for the ASCA Academy. Dorothy is currently co-chair of the Bay Area Urban Forest Council and has logged many volunteer hours with the Western Chapter ISA as well as the Society of Municipal Arborists. Dorothy is dedicated to continuing education, elevating our profession and working to insure visibility for our profession in the community. With her strong passion and dedication to urban and community forestry, she will continue to work to make great strides toward developing stronger urban forestry programs.
