Davis Varsity Theater Roof Replacement

The City of Davis is seeking proposals from qualified firms to design and prepare construction plans, specifications, and estimate for an 8,845 square foot (SF) replacement roof at Davis Varsity Theater. The City has a budget of approximately $114,000 for design and construction of a new roof for the Davis Varsity Theater. Once design is complete, the City will put out a notice inviting bids for the removal of existing roof and equipment and construction of the roof. The selected firm will not be allowed to bid on the construction of the roof.

Requested improvements include, but are not limited to:

  • Removal and re-installation of existing HVACs, solar panels, and other equipment
  • Removal and disposal of existing roof material, sheathing, metal flashing, roof drains, walking pads, dry rot, and paint
  • Installation of Polyiso insulation and TPO roof (single-ply thermoplastic membrane)
  • Installation of metal flashing, roof drains, and walking pads
  • Apply metal sealant and paint to all exposed pipes and metal ladder
  • Other improvements or enhancements as project budget may allow

Submittal Information


Contractors interested in submitting a proposal for this project should respond to this RFP with a written proposal providing all the information requested. The proposal will be considered complete only if all of the items listed under the Proposal Requirements are included.

 

Proposals shall be delivered to the City Clerk’s office on or before 4:00 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2019.
