The University Commons Project would redevelop the University Mall site and entail reconfiguration and replacement of the existing site and buildings to create a new mixed-use development. The proposed project would intensify and revitalize the center and result in approximately 264 residential units (412,500 sf) in 4 residential floor levels, 150,000 sf of ground level retail uses, and a 3-level parking structure. Proposed building heights would be up to 7 stories or approximatey 80 feet. The proposed project entitlements for a General Plan Amendment and Rezone address the general development intensity, standards, uses, and design concept.

Notice of Preparation/Initial Study
A Notice of Preparation of a Draft EIR and an Initial Study were prepared for 30-day public review period beginning November 16, 2018 and ending December 17, 2018 to solicit input and comments from public agencies and the general public on the proposed Draft EIR. A public scoping meeting is scheduled for December 5, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Senior Center Activity Room.
