On June 3, 2016, surface water from the Woodland-Davis Clean Water Agency was introduced into the City of Davis water distribution system.  Surface water from the Sacramento River is treated at the Regional Water Treatment Facility and then travels about 6 miles to Davis’ local distribution pipeline. During the introduction of surface water to the distribution system, weekly water quality samples were taken at the following distribution sampling stations: 5th Street (downtown), Wake Forest Drive, Whaleback Park, Mockingbird Place, Wintun Place and Rockwell Drive. Weekly samples were taken from June 1, 2016 to October 11, 2017.

Samples were taken at dedicated sampling stations located throughout the distribution system.  These sites were chosen to reflect the overall water quality throughout Davis. All samples were tested for aluminum, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, total chromium, lead, zinc, color, turbidity, alkalinity, bicarbonate, carbonate, hydroxide, hardness, pH, orthophosphate as PO4, heterotropic plate count (measures bacteriological quality of drinking water) and asbestos. The weekly distribution water quality sampling results for all parameters, for the 6 sampling stations, can be found in the PDF files below.
