City Council Election - District 3

On January 3, 2023, City Council called an all-mail ballot special municipal election to fill the vacancy in City Council District 3 that was created when former Mayor Lucas Frerichs was sworn into office as a Yolo County Supervisor.

The election will fill the unexpired term in District 3 based on the 2019 District Boundaries. The term of office will commence after the election results are certified and a swearing in is held (anticipated early June 2023) and end in December 2024, when a successor will be elected and sworn in.

All candidates must reside in the District in order to run for office, and must continue to reside in the district (as drawn in 2019) throughout the term.
