Public Works was Divided into Two Departments!
On July 1, 2019, the City of Davis Public Works Department was divided into two separate departments: Public Works - Engineering & Transportation; and Public Works - Utilities & Operations.

The Public Works – Engineering & Transportation Department performs administrative, technical and operational activities in support of the City’s new development and redevelopment applicants, and the City’s Capital Improvement Program, in addition to related services in the following areas:
