Meeting Calendar

The City Council adopts a legislative calendar by resolution on an annual basis. "On Call" dates may be changed to a "Regular Meeting" upon the request of the City Council. "Special Meeting" dates may be scheduled on an as-needed basis. Discussion of the Long Range Calendar takes place at each City Council meeting.

Regular Meeting Time & Place

The Davis City Council holds regular meetings beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, with exception of the fifth Tuesday of the month and the Tuesday prior to a holiday. Most commonly, meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, with additional meetings scheduled as required. The City Council meeting schedule is subject to change. Check the schedule of upcoming meeting dates and the posted agendas for currently scheduled meetings.

The Davis City Council meets in the Community Chambers at City Hall, 23 Russell Boulevard (corner of Russell Blvd. and B St.).

Agenda Materials

City Council Agendas and meeting materials are posted in accordance with state requirements. Per the Brown Act, regular meeting materials are posted at least 72 hours in advance and special meeting materials at least 24 hours in advance. Typically, for a regular Tuesday meeting, agenda materials will be posted by end of the day on the Friday prior to the meeting. For current and previous agenda materials, please see posted agendas.

Other Meetings

In addition to regular meetings of the City Council, council members serve as liaisons to City commissions, committees, and task forces, meet regularly with other local government agencies, and serve as board members of regional governmental organizations.
