The Parks and Community Services Department creates enhances quality of life for davis residents its visitors by providing a diverse array programs, recreational facilities. consists three distinct divisions including aquatics & pool maintenance, recreation services, parks & urban forestry division.

A variety of recreational opportunities are provided for residents of all ages, including aquatics, alternative recreation for persons with disabilities, gymnastics and dance programs, outdoor education, specialty camps, special interest classes, teen services, senior services, youth and adult sports, para-transit, and the rental of community facilities, athletic fields, parks and picnic areas. We are also proud to be responsible for the oversight and maintenance of over 485 acres of parks, greenbelts and an abundance of street trees. 

The Parks & Community Services Department is also host to three of the City's Advisory Commissions, including the Recreation and Park Commission, the Senior Citizens Commission and the Tree Commission.  For more information or upcoming meeting dates and agenda topics, please click here Commissions.

The Manor Pool Complex will be closed for Rec Swim on Friday, July 20th  for turf maintenance.  Our Parks staff will be applying Nitrogen (an organic treatment) to the turf to improve growth and eradicate white clover.  Arroyo Pool located at 2000 Shasta Drive will be open for Rec Swim from 1:00-7:00 pm for those who wish to swim.
