The City of Davis Media Services program is responsible for the operation of City of Davis Government Channel, and for providing a variety of other audio-visual and media-related services to the City of Davis organization.

City Government Channel

The City Government Channel is operated as a public service for the citizens of Davis. The channel carries live and tape delayed coverage of City Council and Planning Commission meetings, coverage of meetings of other City commissions and committees, special events of public interest, and information on City services and programs.

The City Government Channel is available on both Comcast and AT&T U-Verse. On Comcast cable, tune to Channel 16. On AT&T U-Verse, tune to Channel 99, scroll to select "Davis Community Channels" and then select the City Government Channel. In addition, most City Government Channel programming is available for viewing over the internet on the streaming video page.

City Council
Live: Starting at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays each month.

Replay: Wednesday at 9:00 a.m., Thursday at 7:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., & 7:00 p.m., Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Also available "on demand" on the streaming video page.

Planning Commission
Live: Starting at 7:00 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
Meeting schedules are subject to change. Agenda information is available on the Planning Commission Agendas page.

Replay: Friday at 7:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., & 7:00 p.m.

Yolo County Board of Supervisors

We do not carry live coverage of this meeting, only a tape delayed replay is available. Meetings start at 9:00 a.m. the first, third, and fourth Tuesdays of the month, in the Yolo County Administration Building, 625 Court Street, Woodland. Meeting schedules are subject to change. Agenda information and video streaming are available on the Board of Supervisors website.

Replay: Sunday at 7:00 p.m. and Monday at 1:00 p.m.

Woodland - Davis Clean Water Agency
Meetings of the Woodland - Davis Clean Water Agency (WDCWA) alternate between Davis and Woodland. Meetings that are held in Davis are televised live and replayed on the following Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and Monday at 10:00 a.m. For the WDCWA Board of Directors meeting schedule and agendas, please visit http://www.wdcwa.com/board/agendas/. Davis Joint Unified School District Board of Education
(Meetings are televised on Education Channel 17)
Live: Starting at 7:00 p.m. the first and third Thursdays of the month.
Meeting schedules are subject to change. Agenda information is available on the Board of Education Agendas page.

Replay: Friday at 1:00 p.m & 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Previous meetings are also available "on demand" on the Channel 17 website, and live meetings are also available.

Meeting Recordings

City Council Meetings & Planning Commission:
Recordings of all City of Davis meetings televised on the City Government Channel since January 2013 are available for viewing and download on the streaming video page.

City Commission & Committees:
Recordings of commission and committee meetings held since April 2020 are available for viewing.  Recordings may be found on the Other Meeting Video page, and may also be viewed on the City of Davis YouTube channel (view the Commission & Committee Meetings playlist).

Partnerships

The Media Services Program works cooperatively with other organizations to provide Public, Education, and Governmental Access (PEG) services to the Davis community. City of Davis Media Services partners with the Davis Joint Unified School District and Davis Media Access to provide programming on DJUSD's Education Channel (Comcast Channel 17). Media Services regularly tapes events in the Community Chambers that are later televised on DMA's Public Access Channel (Comcast Channel 15).

Other Services

Training & Education
The Media Services program works with City departments to produce training and educational programs for internal City use and public education programs, and to train City staff on the use of media and media equipment.

Library & Documentation
Media Services, in cooperation with the Information Systems Division, maintains and works to enlarge and improve the City's digital image library, documenting City programs, services, facilities, and history. Media Services also maintains a small video library of various programs, training tapes, and original footage of City events.

Internet
The Media Services program works with the City's Information Services Division to create, maintain, and improve content on the City's web site.

Maintenance, Repair, & Acquisition
Media Services works with City departments to assist with the maintenance, repair, and acquisition of departmental audio/visual equipment.
