Principles of One Community
To commemorate UC Davis' centennial anniversary, the Associated Students of UC Davis (ASUCD) formed an Executive Task Force to develop, in conjunction with representatives from UC Davis, the City of Davis, and Davis Joint Unified School District, a new Principles of One Community document, which was adopted in 2008. The Principles of One Community document builds off of the Principles of Community document that UCD developed in the early 1990’s and acknowledges three major partners in the community: those at the university, the students, and those in the city. Within these groups, there are many different voices, perspectives and purposes, however, everyone is a member of the larger Davis community. The document sets forth the basic principles necessary to help the one Davis community prosper. Principles of One Community Resolution (PDF) | Principles of One Community Display Version (PDF)
Hate-Free Together
The City of Davis, UC Davis, and Yolo County joined forces in 2022 against the rising epidemic of hate. Recent and ongoing incidents in our community have shown continued prejudice and discrimination against groups and individuals due to their race, ethnicity, religion, ability, sexual orientation or other characteristics. Hate-Free Together is an effort to combat this hate. Learn more about Hate-Free Together.
