Police Oversight
As part of the process of developing a new civilian police oversight system, the City and consultants held community meetings as well as facilitated smaller forums that were held over a two month period. The smaller forums were geared primarily to engage disproportionately impacted community groups. The goal of the community meetings was to provide information on the overarching objective of the consultants - to understand the needs and concerns with policing from the widest sample of perspectives possible.
The smaller forums and outreach were primarily coordinated by community members and facilitated by the consultants.
General Community Meetings

The City and consultants hosted two public forums to talk about community perceptions on policing and engage in a discussion on police oversight models and principles. The forums started with a short presentation and then moved into a series of questions to elicit input from attendees.
