  • Historical Review
On August 19, 2024, the Historical Resources Management Commission (HRMC) is being asked to consider whether or not recommend that the City Council formally designate the property located at 305 E Street as a historical resource, in accordance with the City of Davis Municipal Code. A historical survey prepared for the property determined that the site is eligible for designation as a local merit resource and the HRMC’s determination will form the basis for the next steps. The HRMC’s recommendation will be provided to the City Council for final action. This consideration is part of the review of a proposed mixed-use apartment project on the properties located at 305 E Street, and 503, 509, and 515 3rd Street, which would include demolition of the existing structures. Historical evaluations of the other subject properties were previously completed and concluded that the properties did not meet eligibility criteria for historical designation.

    SB330 Application

  • In March 2024, the City received an SB330 preliminary application for the proposed project. An SB330 application vests the project to be reviewed under the standards in effect at the time of the preliminary application.
