The Cannery Village Marketplace Project consisting of 170,950 square feet of mixed-use retail, office, and residential uses (36 units) was approved by the City in 2016 and is part of previously approved The Cannery Project. The project site consists of a 6.4-acre parcel on the West Block and 8.7-acre parcel on the East Block. In October 2017, the developer submitted a planning application for revisions to the approved project and has been undergoing City review. It includes minor adjustments to the East Block, but the East Block development would remain substantially the same as approved. Proposed changes on the West Block include a decrease in the medical office building, redesign of the apartment buildings and an increase of 48 additional apartment units. There would be a total of 84 residential units, consisting of 72 apartment units in three-story apartment buildings and 12 units in a two-story mixed-use building. Project also include site layout and parking changes and square footage adjustments. Total commercial and residential square footage would be approximately 182,350 square feet. For additional information on The Cannery subdivision, see The Cannery Project
