West Area Pond
Overview
The West Area Pond is a stormwater detention basin in the Aspen subdivision in West Davis managed by the City’s Public Works Department. The West Area Pond provides important seasonal wetland habitat and year-round wildlife habitat for many plant and animal species. The pond also provides recreational benefits (walking, biking, wildlife viewing). The pond area itself is not publicly accessible and is enclosed by a security fence. However, there are paved paths and dirt trails that run the length of the pond from Sycamore Blvd to Covell Boulevard.
