The City of Davis City Council will conduct a Public Hearing on the adoption of a Resolution to Levy and Collect the Downtown Business Improvement District (DBID) Annual Assessment Fee for the Core Area and Periphery Core benefit zones.
The assessment is an annual renewal of the existing assessment, collected according to business type and gross receipts. The renewal of the DBID assessment will be used in accordance with state law and 2024 DBID Annual Report for the following activities: promotion of business activities and public events within the District; furnishing of music in the District; decoration of any public place in the District; and acquisition, construction, or maintenance of parking facilities for the benefit of the District. (Municipal Code Chapter 15.10 Business Improvement District).
The Public Hearing will be held Tuesday November 12, 2024 at a meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Chambers at City Hall, 23 Russell Boulevard, Davis, California.
At the public hearing, the City Council will consider any written or verbal protests on the levy of the annual DBID assessment in determining whether to renew all or part of the assessment. Written protests should be submitted to the City Clerk’s office at 23 Russell Boulevard, Davis, California, 95616, or submitted via email to cmoweb@cityofdavis.org.
