Project Description

In June of 2022 the City Council approved the Reimagining Russell Corridor Study. One of the key projects that came from this study is the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Russell and Arlington boulevards. This intersection is a gateway into Davis along the west edge of the City. The existing intersection geometry is awkward for people walking, bicycling and driving through the area.

This project proposes to replace the existing intersection with a single-lane roundabout that prioritizes multimodal circulation and safety in addition to simplifying the vehicle movements. The project also includes intersection and crossing upgrades at Eisenhower Street and improvements to the midblock bicycle and pedestrian crossing west of Arlington Boulevard near Evenstar Lane.
