Arroyo Park Sky Track Relocation

Due to noise compliance and vandalism issues, the Sky Track has been closed pending relocation within Arroyo Park.  The process of identifying a suitable location for the Sky Track and appropriate replacement play equipment for this location began after an update at the March 16, 2022 meeting of the Recreation and Parks Commission.

The City is committed to finding an appropriate alternate location for the Sky Track, ideally within Arroyo Park, and we appreciate the patience of the neighborhood as this temporary closure is undertaken to implement a re-location. Ultimately, we expect that park users will be able to enjoy the Sky track again soon, albeit in a different location within the park, and also have the added benefit of a new playground amenity to be installed in this location. We apologize for the inconvenience to Sky Track users while these transitions take place.

The sky track will be removed and the relocation is pending.

New Obstacle Course Equipment

The Recreation and Park Commission selected and recommended this obstacle course equipment during their June 21, 2022 meeting to replace the existing Sky Track equipment's spot. The new obstacle course equipment was then approved by the City Council during the August 30, 2022 meeting. Staff engaged with the neighborhood and presented a range of possible play equipment options, to include equipment that will cater to a range of objectives and introduce a fun, new amenity while minimizing impacts to nearby residences.
