The Public Works Engineering and Transportation Department is committed to providing sustainable infrastructure that currently meets the needs of the community and supports the safety and well-being of future generations.

What We Do

Public Works Engineering & Transportation provides administrative and technical support to manage the City’s investment in its infrastructure, enhance traffic operations and safety, and provide multi-modal transportation options for our community.  By planning, funding and delivering capital improvement projects, reviewing private development projects, performing technical studies and long-term planning assessments, and performing public education programs, the Department improves the safety, reliability and usability of the City’s infrastructure for the community. The Department is comprised of the following Programs:
