Davis prides itself on being a university town. Our vitality comes from the unique blend of students, families, and other individuals. We are a compact community, with over 69,000 residents living in nine square miles. Living in close proximity to one another requires patience, understanding, and most of all, communication. All residents are expected to function in a mature and responsible manner to maintain a positive quality of life for Davis' neighborhoods. Neighborhood Services/Community Partnership Program serves as the City's liaison to neighborhoods, encouraging participation in the planning and implementation of City policies and programs.

New Phone Number
It is now easier than ever to reach the Social Services and Housing Department! You can now call one phone number (530-757-5623) to access information about:
- Rental resources
- Affordable home ownership
- Landlord/tenant issues
- Homelessness
The two phone lines for the Rental Resources Program and the Affordable Home Ownership Program will be discontinued July 1, 2024 to help better serve residents and provide more efficiency.
