Please fill your organics cart first before placing yard materials in piles on the street. Since we are expecting rain (yay!) we need to keep yard material piles out of the street gutter to ensure that rainwater can flow freely and not cause localized flooding.

Rain is in the forecast! A reminder to turn off sprinklers in preparation for the storm and for 48 hours after a rain event. Running sprinklers during the rain not only wastes water, it also increases the amount of water flowing into the City’s storm drain system.

The City has an exclusive franchise waste agreement with Recology Davis to collect trash, recyclables, organics, yard material piles, and perform street sweeping within the city limits. Billing for these services is handled by the City's Finance Department.

Single-Family Garbage Service
Curbside trash and recycling is collected once a week. Collection begins at 7:00 a.m. Containers may be brought to the curb after 5:00 p.m. on the day before collection and should be removed by 7:00 a.m. on the day following collection. Recology Davis operates on all holidays except Christmas and New Year's Day.
