Pool Rental FAQ

  • Can I rent the pool longer than 2 hours?

Yes, you may extend your rental time by up to one hour for half the cost of the two-hour rental. Morning rentals may begin up to one hour early, evening rentals may extend up to one hour longer.

  • Does the pool provide any toys for the kids?

Yes, when you rent one of our City of Davis pools you have access to all of the toys at the pool. This includes items such as  noodles, toys for diving, aqua-rockets, kick boards, pull buoys, life jackets, etc.

  • Can I bring my own toys?

Yes, you can bring your own toys if you wish. Use of toys you bring will be at lifeguards' and manager's discretion for safety purposes, so make sure to check with them before entering the pool with the toys.

  • Will the snack bar be open for the pool rental?

No, the pool rental is only for the pools exclusively, we cannot maintain a full staff outside of recreational hours.

  • If I bring food is there somewhere I can refrigerate it?

Yes, we do have limited freezer and refrigerator space at each of our pools.

  • Do you have any furniture such as tables I could use for my event?

Yes, you also have access to all picnic benches/tables, lounge chairs, and chaises that are in the complex during your rental.

  • I only made the rental for one pool at the complex, what if the kids ask to go into both pools in the complex at once?

While we only staff for the amount of pools that you rent, it is possible to switch pools. If your reservation is for one pool we can only have one pool open at a time while still providing the safest atmosphere.

  • Can I arrive early for my rental?

Unfortunately, no. The time you book is the time you are entering the complex and the time you are leaving. The lifeguard staff are scheduled to arrive based on the time of the rental. If you arrive early, they will not be prepared to supervise your event. If you need extra time for decorating, please be sure to schedule it. Also, staff will take approximately 5 minutes to review pool rules with your group before anyone enters the water.

  • What is not allowed in the pool complex?

    • Glass of any kind (bottles, containers, etc.)

    • Alcohol, smoking, tobacco, and/or drugs.

    • Pets, with the exception of assistance dogs.

  • Is there anything else I should know?

Water Slides: You must be at least 48 inches tall to ride the water slides at Manor and Arroyo Pools. There are no exceptions as this is a regulation from Cal/OSHA. Only one rider at a time can go on the slide.

Children Under 6: To assist with lifeguard supervision, parents are responsible for monitoring kids. All children age 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult, including in the water. One adult can be responsible for 3 children (those 6 and under) maximum.
