Why should I purchase a paver stone?

Your paving stone purchase will help fund the ongoing maintenance needs for Central Park, and more specifically assist in the purchase and installation of additional shade structures over the playground areas located within Central Park. It helps to ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy the park amenities just as your and your family do today.

You, your family and loved ones become a permanent part of the Central Park legacy and your community's history. Your paving stone will be a perfect way to honor birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and other life events.

How much do the paver stones cost?

Paver stones are available for individuals and families at a rate of $200 for a 6”x 8” stone or $250 for an 8” x 8” stone. The engraving may have up to three line of names and dates engraved on the smaller stone, and up to a maximum of 4 lines on the larger stone. Davis community-based or commercial organizations may also purchase paver stones at a rate of $450 for a 6”x 8” stone or $500 for an 8” x 8” stone.

The City of Davis Parks & Community Services Department is not responsible for incorrect spelling on engraved stones. Actual colors of pavers and font types and size may vary with final materials and installation.

Who can purchase a paver stone?

Anyone can purchase a paver stone as long as the engraving is appropriate for community display.

What can I engrave on the paver stone?

Every effort will be made to meet requests for special inscriptions or logos. The City of Davis reserves the right to approve all wording or graphics. Each line has 17 characters, including spaces. All inscriptions will be in UPPERCASE font and centered on the paver. Orders including logos will need to submit camera ready art to the Parks & Community Services office before the proof process begins.

Can I proofread my message before it is engraved?

Yes, each order will be proofed by both you and the City of Davis Parks & Community Services Department.

Can I ask for a certain placement?

The City of Davis Parks & Community Services Department will make every effort to meet the desires of the buyer, but we cannot guarantee placement. Previously place engraved paver stones or previous commitments to outside parties take precedence over new paver stone orders.

How will I find my paver stone once it has been placed?

The City of Davis Parks & Community Services Department will provide a map of the assigned location of your paver stone when it is installed.
